Professional Affiliation

The director and associate director of the University Ombudsman Office at SIUC are active, charter members of the International Ombudsman Association (IOA), the premiere professional association of organizational ombuds practitioners in the United States and abroad.

The SIUC University Ombudsman Office supports and adheres to the operating principles encompassed in the IOA Standards of Practice and the IOA Code of Ethics.
